These pages in English provide a survey of
a mere fraction of the activities with which Martin Reiner (a.k.a. Pluháček) has been involved since 1986. They address in full, however, his most important deeds since 2006, when at the age of forty-two and with six published books to his name he became
a full-time writer.

Reiner’s novel Lucy, Maceška and I, published in summer 2009, is splendid proof that this move has paid off. Dolce Vita magazine described it as the best work of fiction of 2009 and it was highly placed in the prestigious Lidové Noviny Book of the Year competition. Lucy, Maceška and I has been nominated for a Magnesia Litera award in the Prose category. Click here to find out what the critics have to say about the book.
